Using an SSH Tunnel to access location based computer services
Sometimes, an office or organization will only allow access to services while using a computer on site. Usually, there may be some sort of VPN (more on that elsewhere) to allow offsite access, but if this isn't possible, you might be able to use SSH (which frequently can provide the same functionality you're looking for). This will require that you have a computer running Linux in your office or otherwise onsite.
There shouldn't be any actual security or policy violation issues here; you presumably have authorized access to your computer in your office, this is merely to get around well meaning, but overly enthusiastic, security measures.
