Complete the small exercise for letting me know that you do have access:
These instructions aren't 100% explicit, but I'm trusting you can figure it all out. Let me know if there are issues.
CHANGE YOUR VM PASSWORD.
- Simplest way to do this is to open a terminal (upper left mouse menu, Terminal Emulator) and type "passwd"
Change your desktop background to something different
- Download something new from the net, using built in firefox (Web Browser) but keep it clean, thx.
- Right click the Desktop and use Desktop Settings
Find me your local ip address
- Pop open a terminal (upper left mouse menu, Terminal Emulator) - please *don't* maximize it so I can see the background.
- Type in "ifconfig" and hit enter
"Turning it in"
Your VM should now show me a terminal with your IP and a new background screen. Take a screenshot of this, crop as needed, and either
- Post it to your TEAM chat area in Discord OR
- Email it to me directly.
I do prefer the former, if I see four screenshots in your Discord chat then I know you're all good to go in your team. Please complete BEFORE Thursday's class.
